hominivorax

The New World screwworm is a disgusting maggot that has returned to the United States decades after it was eradicated and is threatening livestock and the viability of a big swath of America’s farmers who are depending on USDA to swing into action by releasing hundreds of thousands of sterilized male flies (which as you can imagine requires acute vision and a steady hand) and many ranchers have voiced concern that the government is slow-walking its response and the question is why is the administration in Washington dragging its heels when it comes to combating this flesh-eating parasite?

Professional courtesy.
